About triskaideka.net

Triskaideka.net is a web site where there is some stuff.

Using this site

There is no formal agreement between you and the operators of this site (who include its programmer and its hosting company). This page simply contains information about the way things are usually done that was probably fairly accurate at the time it was written. It is not a good substitute for your own knowledge and judgment.

This web site (like most) keeps logs of its traffic, which includes your visits to it. It may also have other information about you that you have voluntarily chosen to provide to the site or its administrators. The administrators are not in the habit of giving out this information, though you should be realistic about the possibility that it could be subpoenaed, hacked, etc.

Why doesn't this site work?

If parts of this site look wrong or don't function properly, you may want to make sure that you're using the latest version of a standards-compliant web browser.

Some parts of this site use client-side technologies such as JavaScript and cookies. You can have your browser turn these things off if you want. These technologies aren't used to track your movements or spy on you. They aren't used in places where they aren't critical to functionality, so the rest of the site should still function normally with them off.

If you're pretty sure that your web browser isn't the cause of the problems you're seeing, bug reports are welcome; use the contact information below.
